Dubai Customs’ Talent Project team visits Emirates Association for the Talented
The Talent Project team at Dubai Customs paid a visit to the Emirates Association for the Talented, to learn about best practices in the field of nurturing innovators.
Dubai Customs visiting delegation included Dr. Sheikha Al Ghafri, Senior Manager of the Customs Training Center and Head of the Talent Project team, Sami Essa, Manager of Intelligence Operation at the Customs Intelligence Department, and Seddiqa Ebrahim, Senior Officer at Passenger Operations Department.
While touring the premises of the Emirates Association for the Talented, Dubai Customs’ Talent team was briefed on the Association’s achievements in nurturing talented and innovating individuals in the country. Receiving the delegation was Munera Safar, Secretary of the Emirates Association for the Talented, who commended the role of DC’s Talent Program in discovering and supporting exceptional talents in DC, which has a positive impact on the UAE community by scoring competitive ranks internationally.
Ms Safar showcased the Association’s strategic objectives and the services they deliver to innovators and inventors in the UAE. She also discussed their future plans and cooperation areas between the Association and DC’s Talent Program. On the other hand, Dr Al Ghafri, Head of DC’s Talent Project team, said that their visit to the Emirates Association for the Talented comes in line with the Program’s operational objectives, which aim at promoting cooperation with the government departments and entities concerned with caring for innovators and exceptionally-performing individuals.
Dr Al Ghafri presented to the Association’s team the objectives and achievements of the Talent Program since it was launched on July 2014, with the support of the Dubai Customs’ leadership team, who pays special attention to investing in DC’s talented human resources. Dr Al Ghafri indicated that they target three categories: innovators, employees with exceptional performance and talented employees.
