Dubai Customs and Tanmia sign off a strategic cooperation agreement  

Dubai Customs and the National HR Development and Employment Authority (Tanmia) signed off a joint cooperation agreement, on forging strategic partnership and coordination at various levels and fields especially in providing work opportunities for Emirati nationals. The agreement also highlighted the exchange of information and expertise, and the utilization of each entity’s resources towards increasing the capacity and efficiency of the human capital at both sides.
The agreement was signed at Dubai Customs Headquarters, in the presence of His Excellency Sultan Bin Sulayem Chairman of PCFZ corporation, by HE Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director of Dubai Customs and HE Mohammed Matar Al Marri, Director General of Tanmia. 
Sultan Bin Sulayem stated, “We are satisfied with Tanmia’s efforts in providing work opportunities for UAE nationals, and we support their actions on this regard”. He also noted the importance of training and benefiting from the special capabilities of each job seeker, stressing the importance of motivation and true will in pursuing such an endeavor. He added, “ Finding appropriate jobs for the UAE nationals is a social responsibility for both private and public sectors, and we are in support of this responsibility at all levels”.
He went further on saying, “ What really gives Dubai government personnel nowadays an added value, is the presence of motivation for more productivity, and providing optimal services, all inspired by the positive energy of  His Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashed Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai”
Ahmed Mahboob said that this memo comes in line with the Federal  Government vision towards the ample empowerment of national human resources geared up towards building a competitive economy. And in reflection to Dubai government strategic plan aiming at bridging relationships between various government entities to ensure a unified frame of work bonding them with each other via joint ventures, while emphasizing on the human element within the UAE. He also noted that there is a surging need for attracting more Emirati cadres to assume different positions at the different levels of Customs work, especially with expansion of Customs ports at seaports and airports in preparation for hosting Dubai EXPO 2020 .
Mahboob also continued,” We are very happy for having a high rate of Emiratisation within Dubai Customs working paradigm of 84%, but we are still seeking to increase it further more via joint cooperation with Tanmia and the different recruitment entities including jobs fairs. He went on saying,   “Dubai Customs thrive towards providing different job opportunities for Emirati nationals within the working paradigm of the DC, besides moving forward in attracting qualified national staff. He further elaborated that DC provides a motivational working environment besides a wide array of exquisite training programs, catered through the Customs Training Center which is the first of its kind within Middle East. He Also stressed that this agreement with “Tanmia” holds the prospect for a greater contribution to the building of the  knowledge, economy and science community in the UAE.
Dubai Customs Director hailed the pivotal role “Tanmia” Authority is assuming, in providing working opportunities for UAE nationals in collaboration and coordination with all government entities at the level of all Emirates; besides the preparation, training and utilization of UAE national job seekers to attain the best of what the market has to offer.
“Tanmia allocates all of its resources towards finding job opportunities for UAE nationals, after equipping them with the set of the highest levels of training, allowing their eased access to the marketplace. It also assumes its role in liaising and coordinating with all Government entities within the state to achieve these goals”, said Mohammed Matar Al Marri, Director General of the Authority. Adding, he said that the signing of this partnership agreement with Dubai Customs is a part of the national initiatives steered towards supporting UAE nationals recruitment programs that are currently running within Tanmia’s scope of work, and goes in line with its core mission for the development and recruitment of UAE nationals.
