Delegation from the General Authority for the Security of Ports, Borders and Free Zones visits Dubai Customs Air Zone
The Air Customs Centres Management of Dubai Customs received a delegation from the General Authority for the Security of Ports, Borders and Free Zones. Headed by H.E. Jassem Al Zaabi, the Authority’s Director, the deputation’s visit aimed at learning about the work processes and mechanisms followed at Dubai Customs Air Zone, as part of their existing mutual cooperation and exchange of expertise.
The delegation was welcomed by H.E. Sultan Al Joker, along with Director of Air Customs Centres Management Mr. Humaid Al Rashid, Senior Manager of Cargo Village Customs Centre Mr. Yousuf Al Hashemi, Inspection Manager Khalid Al Muadhin, and Team Leader Tarek Al Muhairi. The visiting delegation featured H.E. Jassem Mohamed Al Zaabi and Head of Ports and Borders Security Mr. Abdulla Al Shaer.
The visiting delegation expressed their desire to learn from DC Air Zone’s expertise and to replicate its successful model. They were given an overview of Dubai Customs’ advanced-technology inspection and screening equipment, following which they made a field visit to the sites storing this equipment in the Emirates Terminal at the Cargo Village. During the field visit, they were briefed on the types of devices used and the inspection and screening procedures. Dubai Customs’ officials provided straight-forward answers to all of the delegation’s inquiries related to the subject of the visit.
At the end of the visit, H.E. Jassem Al Zaabi expressed his profound appreciation for Dubai Customs’ warm welcome, and for its steadfast determination.
