Dubai Customs and RTA discuss governmental partnership and social responsibility  

Dubai Customs officials have briefed a delegation from the Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai on DC’s overall strategy in governmental partnership and corporate social responsibility (CSR).
The delegation comprised employees from the Corporate Development Department at the RTA and was received by officials from the CSR and Government Partnership Sections at Dubai Customs. During the visit, the delegates learned about the organisational structure, applicable methodology and work procedures of the Government Partnership Section at DC’s Corporate Communication Department. They were introduced to DC’s achievements that resulted from promoting and reinforcing relationships with strategic partners and how these ties reflected positively on internal work processes. The role played by customs centres and DC’s various departments in boosting partnerships with government agencies through joint initiatives and projects was also highlighted. 
The deputation was acquainted with the mechanism of calculating added value of strategic partners at a corporate level, and the part played by every department in this matter.
The section elaborated on its role in enhancing ties with government entities in other emirates and choosing partners that bring in added value to all parties. The prominent accomplishments of the Government Partnership Section at DC were showcased. 
The visitors were also briefed on DC’s CSR achievements in respect to the major community and environmental initiatives launched by Dubai Customs.

At the end of the visit, the RTA delegation commended the work mechanisms followed by Dubai Customs and stressed the importance of governmental partnerships and community outreach in supporting and enhancing customs operations.
