Dubai Customs briefs delegation of Ras Al Khaimah Economic Development on best practices 

 

 

Dubai Customs received a delegation from the Department of Economic Development in Ras Al Khaimah to be briefed on the best practices in several divisions of the Department, including Human Resources Department, Customs Procedures Department, and Customs Training Center.
The visit came within the framework of joint cooperation and exchange of experiences with government agencies at the state level in order to serve the public interest.
During the delegation’s visit, Ali Abu Kuta, officer of knowledge management in the Customs Procedures Department, reviewed the project of knowledge management, strategy and methodology used in the project, and best practices applied. Applied management systems, including coherent institutional perspective system, institutional capacities management, and the system of limiting implicit and explicit knowledge have also been explained.
 
In the meantime, Khalid Ahmed al-Ali, the first training specialist at Customs Training Center, reviewed the assignments undertaken by the Section of Implementation of training programs at the center, the mechanism of the executed training plan, training plans of inspectors and employees in the Department, and the mechanism for the exchange of experiences and information in the context of social partnership among government departments in Dubai.
Concluding the meeting, Mr. Khamis Al Muhairi, Senior Manager of employment in the Human Resources Department, has presented a working plan for human resources management, and the current trend to submit and achieve orders electronically without papers. In this regard, Al Muhairi indicated at the potentials of creativity at Dubai Customs, the importance of the role of the human resources portal in raising employees’ satisfaction and improving the level of service provided to them, and Dubai Customs‘ keenness to attract qualified national cadres in various sectors.
 Al Muhairi has also explained that Human Resources Department is working on the exchange of knowledge among Dubai Customs and other authorities and governmental institutions based on integrated database.
