Dubai Customs claims the Middle East Business Leaders First Award
For the fourth consecutive year, Dubai Customs claimed the first award of the Middle East Business Leaders 2015 in its 6th cycle for the Corporate Social Responsibility category.
This year's grand event was graced by Shaikh Sayyed Ali Al-Hashimi, special advisor to the President of the UAE; Prince Suleiman Shah Ibn Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah, the royal chief major of Selangor, Malaysia; and Dato' Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin, consul general of Malaysia, Abdul Rahman Naqi, Secretary-General of the Federation of the GCC. Also present was Badria Al Mulla, president of IEBG UAE and trade advisor to the Government of Switzerland.
The International Leader Magazine in Malaysia and My Event Intl. organized the Award Ceremony in Armani Hotel at Burj Khalifa. Prominent business figures and major organizations of different segments across the Middle East were honoured in appreciation to their support to economy and societal development.
Khalil Saqer bin Gharib, Director of Corporate Communication at Dubai Customs received the award from Abdulrahim Naqi and Badria Al Mulla.
Upon receiving the award, Bin Gharib stressed upon Dubai Customs keenness to utilize the best practices in achieving sustainability in CSR, and the DC pride in being a leading example in supporting this field.
He said, “This award comes as a result of the effective contribution Dubai customs has made both nationally and internationally in the area of CSR as a crucial component of DC’s strategic goals to attain sustainable development.”
