Dubai Customs starts “My Nation My Identity” campaign
Dubai Customs has launched “My Nation My Identity” campaign to promote and foster the sense of national identity among the community, as the United Arab Emirates is getting ready to celebrate Flag Day on November 3rd and 44th UAE National Day on December 2nd.
The ongoing campaign kicked off in the DC headquarters in Mina Rashid and went on to include other Customs centers in Dubai. Many events and activities have been held to support the lofty mission of maintaining Emirati national identity. These promotional activities involved both employees and customers in a shared drive to spread the word and ensure our national identity is well aware of and appreciated.
Meanwhile, a team of volunteers at DC is gearing up to conduct various volunteering activities as part of UAE’s Flag Day and National Day celebrations, which will target school students and patients at hospitals and healthcare centers. The team has held a preparatory meeting, headed by Director of Corporate Communications Khalil Saqer bi Gharib, to put final touches on the national identity agenda to make sure everything is set ready well before the events.
Khalil Saqer pointed out that Dubai Customs attaches great attention to fostering social responsibility through strengthened community engagements. “We take to heart developing national identity values among our volunteers, employees and the society at large,” he said.
Furthermore, DC’s Social and Sporting Activities Committee has joined in the efforts to raise awareness about Emirati national identity by distributing UAE flags to staff members, encouraging them to mount and display these flags on their houses during national celebrations.
