CLEARANCE OF PERSONAL EFFECTS
​​​Passenger Goods for Personal Use:
Items of personal use and used household items brought into the country will be exempted from customs tax and duties after being checked by the customs inspectors. However, a 5% customs tax will be imposed on goods if found by the customs inspectors to be in commercial quantities.
Import Documents Needed:
  • Passport copy
  • Residency visa copy
  • A written list of the imported goods
New and Second Hand Vehicle:
You can import new or used cars according to the import requirements and the following documents need to be provided if the vehicles are brought to the country by a shipping company: 
  • The invoice
  • The backing list
  • The bill of lading
  • A passport copy
If the cares are imported by persons, the following documents are needed:
  • A passport copy
  • The Invoice
The imported vehicles will be checked and evaluated by the customs inspectors and customs tax of  5% will be imposed on the total assessed value of each car.
