General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs overviews Dubai Customs’ procedures in internal audit and institutional governance
Stemming out of the governmental partnership and the exchange of expertise approach, the DC Audit and Revenue Improvement Department received a delegation from the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs, with the aim of exchanging expertise in the fields of internal audit and institutional governance, as well as to be informed upon the latest applied procedures of those fields at Dubai Customs. The visiting delegation was received by Qais Al Thali- Internal Audit Senior Specialist and Dr. Mohammad Abu Al Khair, Governance Senior Specialist.
Omar Al Shawa, Internal Audit Senior Specialist, Mahmoud Al Rawajbeh, Internal Auditor and Fawzia Al Iswed, Internal Audit Specialist, have jointly presented Dubai Customs experience in the fields of internal audit, institutional governance and revenue improvement entailing its developmental stages. They also presented the know-how pertaining the Internal Audit Charter as well as the smart governance approach.
The visiting delegation expressed their appreciation and admiration of the briefing and called upon further collaboration in those fields. The visiting delegation comprised Said Al Ghaith, Abdullah Atiq Al Marri, Turkiya Yousef Al Marri and Hind Sultan.
At the end of the meeting, Dr. Mohammad Abu Al Khair presented the visiting delegation with DC trophy.
