Emirates Transport delegation learns about the methodology of Dubai Customs’ HR Department
The HR Department at Dubai Customs received a delegation from Emirates Transport. The visit was aimed at having an insight into the methodology and work mechanisms of DC’s HR Department, as part of joint cooperation and exchange of expertise.
Dr Shaikha Al Ghafri, Senior Manager of the Training Center, and Abdulaziz Al Balooshi, Manager of Organisational Development Section, received the Emirates Transport delegation. The visiting delegation included Amna Al Shamsi, Head of Human Resources, Samiah Al Marzouki, HR Head Assistant, Khaldoun Abu Talib, HR Development Senior Specialist, and Shama Hariz, Development Controller.
The delegation expressed their desire to utilize the experiences of the HR Department at DC and replicate its successful model. They were briefed on the organizational structure of the department, its previous major achievements and the services it offers to employees.
Afterwards, the Planning and Follow Up Section at DC answered the delegation’s questions and inquiries. The visit, which was coordinated by the Government Partnership Section at the Corporate Communication Department, saw the discussion of a number of topics, namely the HR planning techniques, best practices applicable in talent management and career path, HR Department’s organisational structure, staff productivity measuring mechanism, hiring, performance evaluation at HR Department and specialized training for customs inspection.
