Customs Tariff & Origin Department meets with Dubai Municipality delegation
The Customs Tariff & Origin Department at Dubai Customs held a coordination meeting with a delegation from Dubai Municipality, to discuss procedures of handling restricted goods. The meeting, which was held at DC headquarter, was headed by Mrs Hala Al Yousfi, Manager of Customs Tariff at Dubai Customs, in the presence of Ms Amal Ahmed Khadem, Manager of Prohibition and Restriction and Ms Hamida Hidayathulla, Origin and Economic Agreements Officer. On the other hand, the DM delegation included Mr Sultan Essa Al Suwaidi, Head of Public Safety Section, Ms Noora Al Shamsi, Senior Consumer Product Inspection Officer, Mr Ahmed Mohammed Khalifa, Food trade Hygiene Specialist at the Food Control Department, Mr Anas Abdul Raheem Khalifa, Senior Consumer Products Safety Officer at the Public Health and Safety Department, Mr Yousef Abdul Samad Al Rashid, Operations Health Specialist at the Health, Safety and Environment Monitoring Sector, and Mr Ahmed Saeed Al Nakar, Senior Public Safety Officer at the Public Health & Safety Department.
Both sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation in the restricted goods area, aiming at achieving best results through coordinating procedures that ensure performance development. The meeting was arranged for by the Government Partnership Section at the Corporate Communication Department in Dubai Customs.
Such meetings between government entities in Dubai are within the framework of the joint cooperation and coordination between them in respect to facilitating customer procedures and implementing best practices in providing services to all stakeholders.
