Auction Conditions

 

The auction will be conducted under the following conditions:

  1. Customer shall not be allowed to Enter the Auction Area Unless Wearing Safety Gears including : Helmet & Vessel.
  2. Each lot will be sold by Groups or separate auction.
  3. The Department or the Auction Committee reserves the right to cancel or postpone the auction without assigning any reason.
  4. Claims by consignees or Shipping and Clearing agents for the withdrawal from the Auction of any of the enumerated goods should reach this department before conclusion of the sale.
  5. Such withdrawals will be authorized only if there is specific evidence that the consignee, or the agent has lodged clearance documents with Customs and has paid ALL outstanding charges before conclusion of the sale.

  7. The auction list is not a guarantee of condition, quality or quantity.
  8. The successful bidder will be required to make payment immediately after the conclusion of each separate auction.
  9. Payment by cheque will be accepted, but the goods will not be delivered until the cheque has been cashed.
  10. In case of payment by cheque, a non- refundable of 10%.- cash should be paid in advance.
  11. In any case where the cheque is returned unpaid, the bidder will be disqualified from participating in any further auction of this Department.
  12. Once any bid has been accepted, the successful bidder will neither be permitted to withdraw his bid, nor refuse payment. If this occurs, such bidders will be disqualified from participating in any further auction organized by the Department.
  13. Once the payment has been made, this Department under any circumstances will entertain no claim for refunds from purchasers.
  14. The successful bidder must remove the goods within 5 (five) days from the date of auction, failing which the balance remaining will be retained, for inclusion in the following auction.
  15. Any merchant wishing to attend the auction and to inspect the goods but does not hold a Port Pass should apply to the Port Authority on any one of the two working days before the auction.
  16. Claims by carriers or shipping agents for reimbursement of charges or costs incurred in respect of any of the goods to be auctioned must be submitted within one year after the auction date, claims submitted after this period will be totally rejected.
